Summertime is the time for fresh fruit, and this Grilled Peach Salad is the perfect way to celebrate the bounty of the season! The peaches are the highlight here, grilled to perfection, letting them get a little sweeter and a bit smoky. Serve them up with slightly spicy arugula, blueberries, and pecans. Finish off the salad with feta and a gorgeous maple syrup vinaigrette for a perfect summer grilled salad.

I simply love to cook fruit on my grill. It changes the flavor of the fruit, brings out the sugars, and adds so much to it. If you are looking for some other grilled fruit recipe ideas, why not check out my fantastic Maple Bourbon Grilled Peaches recipe. Or how about trying this Grilled Cantaloupe with prosciutto and mozzarella. It’s a family favorite!

What do you need to make a grilled peach salad?

The great thing about this salad is that you can use just about any vegetables you have in your refrigerator crisper to make this salad. Obviously, you need some peaches as they’re the star of the show! The dressing is just a simple sweet vinaigrette.

INGREDIENTS

  • Fresh Arugula (you could use romaine lettuce, spinach, kale, or any other leafy vegetable)
  • Fresh peaches
  • Fresh blueberries
  • Pecans
  • Feta cheese
  • Olive oil
  • Maple syrup
  • White balsamic vinegar
  • Sea salt
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • Cooking spray or oil for the grill

How to MAKE GRILLED PEACH SALAD

Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium heat. To slice the peaches, cut around the peach and twist each half; this will separate the two halves from the pit, making it easy to remove. Cut each half of the peach into 4 slices and set them aside.

Spray or brush the grill with oil. Because the peaches contain a lot of sugar, they have a tendency to stick to the grill. The oil on the grill will help to prevent the peaches from sticking.

Place the peaches cut side down on the preheated grill. It will take about 4 -5 minutes on each side for the peaches to soften. You want to have nice, albeit light, grill marks on each side.

While the peaches are grilling, you can prepare the dressing. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, maple syrup, white balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and fresh ground pepper. You want the olive oil to be emulsified (blended with all the other ingredients).

The Salad

When the peaches are ready and nicely grilled, it’s time to assemble the salad. Divide the arugula between 4 plates. Sprinkle the blueberries, pecans, and crumbled feta on top of the arugula. Then divide the grilled peaches between the 4 plates. Finally, drizzle the prepared dressing over all the plates.

Making Grilled Peach salad your own

The great thing about a recipe like this is you can totally make it your own! If you don’t want to use feta on your salad, you can use goat cheese, burrata, or even mozzarella. Want to add some protein? Add some grilled chicken, a nice steak sliced, or even some bacon bits!

Have some other fruit or vegetables in the crisper? Why not add a few slices of strawberries or even some sliced avocado!

Other ideas for grilled peaches

Even though you can get peaches in your grocer pretty much all year round, fresh local peaches are only around for a short time every summer. You can do so much with peaches when you grill them. If you have an abundance of peaches, consider yourself lucky!

If you don’t want them for your salad, cut them in half, remove the pit, and put them on the grill for 4-5 minutes over medium heat. Eat them right off the grill, or add a little sugar on top first. They are simply amazing!

Looking for some other ideas for your peaches this year? Why not make some Homemade Peach Ice Cream! Or how about preserving those fresh peaches? This Easy Vanilla Peach Freezer Jam is wonderfully peachy!
